first day of school

 

 

This morning was the first day of school.

We had to go the longer way to school because Killiney road was closed down.

When we got to the school entrance there was construction going on.

Then we had to wait a while.

When it was near 8:00 we started to go.

When we got to the playground there was no one there.

Then when we looked again there was a teacher.

I waited a little for my friend.

When she came we started talking about what happened over the summer and which house won the year.

Then some more friends came and then the bell rang.

We got into a line with our bags and went inside the classroom.

We had Mr. Shaughnessy for our fifth form teacher.

We got to sit anywhere we like for the day.

Then we had to tell the class our names.

There was four new girls in our class.

One of them was still on holiday.

On of the girls is from the Caribbean's.

The two other girls I don't know where they are from.

We started to label all our copy books.

Then we went outside to look at the closest fire exits.

Then we solved this very famous puzzle where you have a fox, chicken and oats.

You have to bring them across the river without the fox eating the chicken and the chicken eating the oats.

Then we had assembly and break time then we had science.

We wrapped our books and labeled them.

After we had lunch.

I had chicken with gravy.

Then I played den to den.

After we had art.

We decorated a balloon and a flag.

After we had games.

Ms. Davey our games teacher talked us through what we will be doing over the year.

Then we played a little bit of basket ball.

After we signed out and went home.
