chocolat

We watched a movie called Chocolat.

It is about a mother and her daughter going country to country opening a chocolatier and then leaving.

The mother Vienne and the daughter Anouk go to a small village in France.

They come on a Sunday when everyone is at church so the village is empty.

They rent a small house.

The bottom floor is the chocolatier and upstairs is the bedroom.

They clean the place up and hang up a sign: Chocolatier Maya.

After cleaning up, Vienne boards up all the windows with newspaper so no one can see the shop until opening day.

When opening day a women and the mayors assistant son/ landlady grandson visits the shop.

but this was during lent so the boy Lou couldn't eat the chocolate Vienne offered.

But the women decided to have chocolate.

Vienne asked the women what did she see in the disk she was spinning.

The woman said she saw a man riding a horse.

Vienne said I know just the chocolate for you and gave a chocolate the woman liked.

Then the lady left and Lou was offered hot chocolate.

I am only going to tell you that much so if you want to know you have to watch the movie.

 

I liked the movie and thought it was good.
