pony camp

 

 

 

 

Today I went to pony camp.

There was two other girls there.

First we went to get our helmets and boots.

Then we went to groom (brush) our pony.

I groomed Sammy who is retired.

After grooming we went to meet our riding ponies.

My pony was appaloosa called Freckles.

Then we led our ponies to the arena  and saddled them.

After leading our ponies we learned how to get on our ponies.

Then we learned how to sit and hold the reins.

After doing so we learned to trot, walk and stop.

After we got off our ponies and led them to our stables and took them off their saddles.

Then we learned the parts of the saddle and bridle and cleaned the saddle.

Then we had our lunch and went home.

My mum made paella.

The paella had peas, corn, broccoli, cauliflower shrimp and chicken with rice.
The paella was delicious.

I had paella before in Spain.

The paella was for lunch.

One of my favorite food is paella.

We went to Croke park and did a hunt.

We had to do a hunt.

We had to look for pumpkins and clues.

I found one clue.

We went around the stadium to look for pumpkins and clues.

Then at the end we got goody bag.
I bought a watch and I had to buy Grant's watch.

I got a blue digital watch.

My mum carved a pumpkin face.

First she drew the face then she cut the top of and took all the seeds out.

Then she carved out the face.

The face had triangle eyes and nose with a jagged mouth.

Then she put two candles in the pumpkin and there is a jack o lantern.

We made meringues.

We needed 4 egg whites and sugar.

We just whisked them together and added red coloring food dye.

Then we put them in the oven.

After we made Eton mess.

That was magnificent.

The meringue was soft and easy to break.



school outing

 

 

I went on a school outing to the Aviva Stadium and the Jeanie Johnston tall ship.

First we went to the tall ship.

We learned about the ship and that the ship never lost a man during the famine.

The ship sank but still kept its record for not losing a man.

Then we went to eat lunch at a shopping mall.

I had a sandwich with cheese, lettuce and ham.

I also had a mini Cornetto and some Jammies.

After having lunch we took a bus to get to the Aviva stadium.

At the Aviva stadium we went to the press conference room.

Then we went to the changing rooms.

The changing rooms had two big baths.

Then we went to the seats and learned about Aviva's name.

We also learned about the shape of the building.

After we went to the gift shop.

I bought a badge and a note book that came with a pen.

We made a gingerbread house.

First my mum assembled the gingerbread house together.

Then she covered both sides of the roof.

After she covered the windows and doors.

After she left me and my sister to decorate the house.

We started to ice the spot then stick a skeleton head on the gingerbread.

There was skeleton gummies, pumpkin bubble gum, sugar ghosts, corn things (the one that is white yellow and orange) and licorice jelly bean.

My mum added pebbles onto the house.

After we got to eat some things from the gingerbread house.

I made butternut squash soup.

First we peeled the shallots then cut them into thin slices.

Then my mum cut up the butternut squash into cubes.

Then we sautéed the shallots and butternut squash.

After sautéing the shallots and butternut squash we blended the vegetables into a smooth texture.

When we ate the soup with bread it was delicious.

I made mash potato.

First we needed to peel the potatoes then cut them in half.

Then we needed to boil the potatoes.

After we boiled the potatoes we put the potatoes in a masher.

After all the potatoes were mashed we added butter and cream.

Then we mixed the potato with the butter and cream.

After mixing we added garlic mayonnaise.

Then we had mash and banger(sausage) for lunch with salad with peanut sauce.

The lunch was delicious.

I made a cake.

The cake was orange and chocolate cake.

I only mixed the batter.

Then when the cake was baked we decorated it the next day.

First mummy mixed the icing with blue food coloring.

Then we spreaded the frosting over the cake.

Then we started decorating the cake.

Mummy says the cake needs to be Halloweenish.

Were using jelly beans, aero, pebbles, smarties, jellies and chocolate covered raisins.

 

 

new reading book

 

 

 

I started reading a new series.

The series is called Secret Series.

The book is by Pseudonymous Bosch.

That isn't his real name.

The book is about a girl called Cass and a boy called Max-Ernest who try and get the homunculus.

They meet a boy called Yo-Yoji who went to Japan for a year because of his dad's work.

The children are in the Treces Society.

Cass finds out who her dad is and why she has pointy ears.

Yesterday while my sister went to a party, mummy, Grant and I started putting up decorations.

Mummy put up the sign up while we were doing the bats.

First we got a bat then peeled off the sticky part and pulled the paper across to puff up.

After we did pumpkins.

We had to use a paper clip to make them stick together.

Then we did the ghosts.

We also had to use a paper clip.

Then we got a fake web with fake spiders.

Mummy put the web over the sign.

Then we got the fake spiders and threw them at the web.

My brother threw one at the curtain and it got stuck.

We had fun throwing the spiders.

Since it is near Halloween  stores our selling treats.

My mum and I went shopping and got screaming sours.

Screaming sours is 5 sour blackcurrant cake bars.

That was my favorite out of the Mr. Kipling cake bar.

Mr. Kipling is a orange flavored cake bar with chocolate chips and some kind of sauce.

Then my mum gave out a cake bar that was cinder toffee which was my favorite out of all the cake bars.

The cinder toffee was a cake bar with cake in the middle and the toffee was on 6top of the cake underneath the chocolate.

I had smore'd bread.

Smore'd bread is mini marshmallows on nutella.

The nutella is on bread.

Then you toast that then when that comes out you have smore'd bread.

My mum added raisins on the bread.

The bread was excellent.

I loved the burnt marshmallow.

The marshmallow was gooey and delicious.
